How to Import GPX File into Garmin Watch

This post will give a quick summary on how to import GPX route into Garmin watch.

  1. Go to the Garmin connect official website and login: https://connect.garmin.com/
  2. In the left side menu, click Training & Planning, then click Courses: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/courses
  3. In the top left of the web page, you see the Import button. Click it and follow the instructions.
  4. In each course, there is this “Send to Device” button where you can send the course to your Garmin watch.
  5. Open the Garmin Connect app, do a manual sync, you should be able to see the course in your watch1.

  1. To see courses in your watch for an activity, e.g., for hiking, go to the hiking interface, and then go to Nagivation --> Courses. There you will see the hiking courses. ↩︎
